"Banana Story" (http://edwardpicot.com/bananastory/)
by Edward Picot is Picot's present to his seven-year-old daughter, Rachel. It
is a narrated animation based on a comic Rachel created earlier in the year.
The original comic "wasn't really a proper comic-strip:
there were only about three pictures in it, surrounded by jumbles of misspelt
words, all written in very blobby felt-tip pen," according to Picot. The
story, however, is pure genius, the kind only an actual child could invent,
and Picot's narration adds some jokes for the adults to his daughter's plot.
You will note the typical young child's slight disregard for life and death issues
in the climax of the story, where an adult would have been kinder, gentler, and
blander. Highly recommended!
