Introducing the Sporkworld Bookstore

One of the initial goals of Sporkworld: The Community (aka "The Sporkworld Blog") was to review books and other cultural artifacts. So far, we have been (choose one) too lazy, too buzy, or too misfortunate to get around to writing many reviews. As a partial substitute, we have created the Sporkworld Bookstore, http://astore.amazon.com/sporkworld-20, whose stock consists of books (and a few other items) recommended by Sporkworld or at least of interest to us. The store exists primarily to maintain a record of books we are reading or are particularly attached to and only very secondarily as a commercial enterprise. We would be perfectly happy if you choose to purchase any of these books at your local independent bookstore rather than from Amazon through our store. However, we would of course be sincerely and profoundly grateful for your patronage, should you choose to buy from our store. (In any case, Sporkworld receives a minute percentage of any putative earnings.)
